Improving your software incrementally
The first stages of a new software development
project are about
establishing what you need, then delivering it as quickly and effectively as we
can. Our crack team of in-house developers makes sure the first release of your
software includes the most important functions, in a package which is easy to
use.
How we build on our development beginnings
We then move into a second phase of development which sees us focus on testing,
improving and adding to the software we’ve created for you. We’ll make
incremental improvements so you’ll see changes fast:
- We make
sure everything works properly. You can never do enough testing. We check
small chunks of code individually and do lots of automated testing, because it
works and it’s cost-effective.
- We show
you the test results. We’re proud of how we work and we do things properly.
So we won’t hide the results of any testing from you. If we find any problems,
you’ll know everything we do.
- We let you
test it too. We don’t expect you to sign off on the software until you’ve
tried it. We’ll probably agree some tests for you to perform – this is called
‘user acceptance testing’.
- We fix
bugs at no extra cost. We’re here to solve problems, not create them. So we
won’t ask you to pay to fix bugs we’ve caused – we’ll just get them sorted nice
and quickly.
Ongoing software development
We don’t think software development should stop after the first release. So
we’ll be here to improve and build upon that first version.
All our experience shows that the best way to create killer software is to be
aggressive and agile. Instead of taking months to make hundreds of improvements,
we take an incremental approach. This means that every few weeks there’ll be a
new version of your software, with new features and improvements.
This flexible approach makes it easier for us to meet your requests quickly. And
because you always have clear sight of what we’re working on, it’s easy for you
to feed new ideas and requests into us.
We’re ready to build a great working relationship with you.
